Author Guidelines
Cell Therapy and Transplantation Reports (CTTR) welcomes manuscripts within the scope of hematopoietic stem cell transplantation, cell therapy, regenerative medicine, gene therapy, transplant immunology, and related clinical and translational fields.
Authors should prepare manuscripts clearly and concisely and follow internationally recognized standards for biomedical research and reporting.
General Submission Requirements
Manuscripts submitted to CTTR should represent original scholarly work and should not be under simultaneous consideration by another journal.
Authors should disclose any relevant previous dissemination of the work, including conference presentations, abstracts, or preprints, where applicable.
Manuscripts should be submitted electronically through the journal's online submission system.
A brief cover letter describing the significance of the work and its relevance to CTTR is recommended.
Language
CTTR accepts manuscripts in English and Persian.
Manuscripts written in English should use clear and professional scientific language.
Manuscripts submitted in Persian should include an English title, abstract, and keywords to improve international accessibility and indexing.
Manuscript File
The manuscript should preferably be submitted as an editable Microsoft Word file (.doc or .docx).
The text should be presented in a clear and consistent format. Excessive formatting should be avoided.
Page numbers and continuous line numbering are recommended where possible to facilitate editorial assessment and peer review.
Title Page
The title page should include:
Full title of the manuscript
A concise running title, where appropriate
Full names of all authors
Institutional affiliation(s) of each author
ORCID iD of authors, when available
Name and email address of the corresponding author
Funding information
Conflict of interest declaration
Abstract and Keywords
The format and length of the abstract should correspond to the relevant article type.
Original Articles and Systematic Reviews should generally include a structured abstract, using headings such as Background, Methods, Results, and Conclusion where appropriate.
Authors should provide approximately 3–6 keywords. The use of recognized terminology such as Medical Subject Headings (MeSH) is encouraged where applicable.
Main Text
The structure of the manuscript should be appropriate to the article type.
Original research articles should generally follow the Introduction, Methods, Results, and Discussion (IMRaD) format.
Authors should refer to the requirements of the relevant article type for recommended manuscript length, abstract length, references, tables, and figures.
Recommended limits are intended as general guidance rather than absolute restrictions. Reasonable exceptions may be considered when scientifically justified.
Reporting Guidelines
Authors should follow internationally recognized reporting guidelines appropriate to the study design whenever applicable, including:
CONSORT for randomized clinical trials
STROBE for observational studies
PRISMA for systematic reviews and meta-analyses
CARE for case reports
Other relevant EQUATOR Network guidelines
References
References should be numbered consecutively in the order in which they first appear in the text and should follow the Vancouver style commonly used in biomedical journals.
Authors are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of references.
Whenever available, the DOI should be provided.
Tables and Figures
Tables and figures should be numbered consecutively and cited in the text.
Tables should preferably be provided in an editable format rather than as images.
Figures should be clear and of sufficient quality for scientific evaluation and publication.
Figure legends should provide enough information for the figure to be understood.
Any modification of scientific images must not alter or misrepresent the original scientific information.
Authors are responsible for obtaining permission to reproduce copyrighted material when required.
Supplementary Material
Additional tables, figures, datasets, methodological details, or other supporting materials may be submitted as Supplementary Material when appropriate.
Research Ethics
Research involving human participants should comply with applicable ethical standards and institutional or national requirements.
Authors should report the name of the approving Institutional Review Board (IRB) or Ethics Committee and the approval number when available.
For animal studies, appropriate ethical approval should be reported when required.
Informed Consent and Patient Privacy
Appropriate informed consent should be obtained when required.
For case reports, clinical images, or other potentially identifiable patient information, appropriate consent for publication must be obtained.
Patient privacy and confidentiality must be protected.
Clinical Trial Registration
Interventional clinical trials should be prospectively registered in an appropriate publicly accessible clinical trial registry.
The registry name and registration number should be provided in the manuscript.
Authorship and Contributions
All listed authors should meet accepted criteria for authorship and should have made substantial contributions to the work.
CTTR encourages authors to provide an Author Contributions Statement describing the contributions of individual authors.
Individuals who contributed to the work but do not meet authorship criteria should be appropriately acknowledged.
Conflict of Interest
All authors should disclose relevant financial and non-financial conflicts of interest.
If no relevant conflict exists, authors may state:
“The authors declare no conflicts of interest.”
Funding
All sources of financial or material support should be disclosed.
The funding organization and grant number should be provided when applicable.
Data Availability
Authors of original research should include a Data Availability Statement indicating whether and under what conditions the data supporting the study findings are available.
Data sharing should comply with applicable ethical, legal, institutional, and patient confidentiality requirements.
Use of Artificial Intelligence
Relevant use of artificial intelligence (AI) or AI-assisted technologies should be disclosed where applicable.
AI tools cannot be listed as authors.
Authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy, originality, integrity, appropriate attribution, and scientific content of all submitted material.
Editorial Consideration
All submissions may undergo an initial editorial assessment for relevance to the journal's scope, scientific quality, originality, ethical compliance, and adherence to submission requirements.
Submission of a manuscript does not guarantee external peer review or publication.
Authors may be asked to provide additional information or make necessary revisions during editorial assessment.
