The Effectiveness of Positive Thinking Program on Students Spiritual and Happiness

Abstract

Background and aim: The aim of this study was evaluating the effectiveness of positive thinking training on spiritual health and happiness.

Methods: among all students of Urmia city 30 students were selected by using available sampling and accidentally divided into either test group (n=15) and witness group (n=15). All participants were evaluated by Spiritual Well-being Scale and Oxford Happiness Inventory. Intervention including eight sessions was performed on test group and the scores of both groups were analyzed by Multivariate Covariance Analysis method.

Results: Study results show that positive thinking training has a meaningful effect on spiritual health and happiness (p<0.001).

Conclusion: Accordingly, positive thinking training program is suggested as an efficient method for decreasing happiness and spiritual health and happiness of students.
